Hi, I’m Salvatore DiSanto — a stop-motion animator with a lifelong passion for storytelling through frame-by-frame magic.

I grew up in Long Island, New York, where my love for animated characters and hand-crafted worlds began at an early age. Before diving into animation, I worked as a SAG-AFTRA actor in New York City, performing in television, film, and commercials. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for character, timing, and expression — all of which continue to influence my work as an animator today.

In addition to my work in front of the camera, I’ve also built a technical foundation in news media as a studio and field technician. Working behind the scenes taught me the importance of lighting, composition, and precision skills that naturally translate to stop-motion production.

To fully immerse myself in the world of animation, I’ve trained with two of the most respected names in the industry: the Aardman Academy, where I completed both Stop Motion 1 and 2, and Stoopid Buddies Stoodios beginner and advance courses, where I gained hands-on experience through their Stop Motion programs. In Fall 2025, I’ll be attending Aardman’s in-person industry training course to further refine my craft.

I’m currently pursuing a full-time career in stop-motion animation — creating characters, building worlds, and telling stories that connect with audiences of all ages. Every project is a chance to bring something heartfelt and handmade to life, one frame at a time.
